Hobie Kayaks / School me on a 2015 Hobie Revo 13

Currently own a Tarpon 140, 28" width, 14ft long, 68lb, 375lb weigh limit.
I get 2.8 knots average paddling it.
I want a 2015 Revo 13, it has similar spec to Tarpon 140. I will use it for diving and Salmon trolling.
Here are my questions:

1- I want to keep my legs fresh before diving. What's average speed one get paddle the Revo?
2- Is the front hatch big enough to store freedive fins ?
3- Where can I get deal on this ?

Wilderness Systems / How To: Leak on Oval Orbix Hatch WS Tarpon 140

Kayak: 2009 Tarpon 140
Problem: It leaks when wave wash over the front hatch. Got about 1/2-3/4 gallon of H20 every trip.

I thought the foam seal is too old and well compressed. Will order a new foam and problem will be gone. I was wrong. It turned out the hatch is warped( how? I don't know).
One thing I do know if the sun can change the shape of the hatch, I can bring it back by using heat too.
Use this as a guide if anyone has the same problem.

I am looking for a fishing rod. Searching forum and found a millions of them. I don't even know what fast action means.

Now I have 10ft surf rod with Penn reel battle 8000 model.

My criteria for the rod.
- Spinnnig
- Less than 7ft (shorter the better)
- Catch RF, Salmon, and Halibut. Yes, I want a rod that can do all.
- Less than $70

Can you recommend me a rod? please post a link.
Can I use that big reel above with this new rod ?

I am itching for a kayak. Due to having no space, I will probably put it on my car permanently.
Before I pull a trigger and make a big mistake, please school me.

- Will it get any dent from tie down when expose to sun ?
- How to protect it from thief ?
- .....anything else I need to aware of.

Hello NCKA,
This is Chet (San Jose). I frequent a lot on NCUH and CCH. This is my first year of freediving and anything to do with the ocean. Some of you probably see me at SWS (Red banks board hanging around Pescadero rocks, that’s as comfortable as I would swim out).
I like Dungi. I drop crab traps from banks board a few times. But something has to change. What stop me from getting a kayak is having no storage for it. I think I am going to talk with my wife and put it inside living room.

I got a loaner Ocean Kayak Frenzy one time, and that thing was slow. I saw Trident 13 in action and love that, due to storage issue I am not sure if Trident 11 is something I should get.
Anyway guys, looking to meet you out there.
