Kayaks / Re: Outback vs native slayer propel max
« on: May 21, 2022, 09:44:24 PM »
Thank you guys for the info!  Going to demo the outback and slayer.  In terms of weight capacity it appears the slayer carries more.  Do you all know if hobie doesn’t consider the weight of the kayak in the rating and maybe native does?

Kayaks / Outback vs native slayer propel max
« on: May 21, 2022, 01:50:03 AM »
Appreciate any insight on the Native Slayer propel Max vs the hobie outback.  Have kayak fished for a few years out of a wilderness ride 135 and 115.  I am 6’3” about 280 and my brother is bigger around 6’5” 300.  Looking at for pedal kayaks, also considering the PA14.  We fish primarily in the bay for halibut and considering the ocean for salmon and rockfish.  Like the idea of a high weigh carrying capacity and stability.  Thanks!

Steve

Thank you for the info.  I will have to do some demo’s once the shelter in place is done.

Kayaks / Looking for opinions on a stable pedal kayak for bigger folks
« on: March 25, 2020, 11:08:33 PM »
Hello everyone!  I would appreciate any insight on pedal kayaks for larger fishermen looking to fish halibut in the bay and maybe salmon in the ocean one day.  I am 6'3" about 265 and my brother is 6'5" about 295.  we currently fish out of a WS Ride 135 and 115x.  Love those kayaks but interested in try hands free. It can be hard to go just off of reviews, so I was hoping you guys could provide info based on your experiences.  Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

Brother fished this afternoon and got skunked.  Sounds like people were catching them at Horseshoe, not sure where that is however?

When the live  anchovies are in, does anyone near OP have them for sale?

Late post but went out last Friday and caught 23.  Nothing in the morning, all in the afternoon and in the cove we launched in?  Brother headed back out tomorrow and will post how he does.  Limit out bait and tackle gave us good info on what and where!  will post pics once I get that figured out.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Bay Halibut Fishing
« on: March 03, 2020, 07:52:15 PM »
Has anyone started Halibut fishing in the Bay yet?  when does it start and any info on locations early in the season?  Have only gone out of Paradise park late last season and cannot wait to start up again this year.

10
Fished about 5 hours at paradise.  One keeper, one shaker and one keeper striper.  Think I am done with Halibut for the year!

Has anyone been out Crappie fishing at Clearlake in the last few weeks?  Never been there but looking to go in the next couple weeks.  Any tips on where to launch, fish and what to use would definitely been appreciated.  Thx!
