Do you fish for the large cutthroats in Pyramid Lake?

Much heavier and is very stable.  Plenty of support for kayaks.

The top T is 60” and the lower 36”. It worked great for my Outback. Much heavier grade steal that can be used to haul heavier items as well.

Made this kayak rack for my Tundra to transport my two Hobie Outbacks. I can change the cross bar to haul one or two kayaks. Before the rack, I was using a small 11’ flat bed trailer that worked well, but created parking issues. This rack makes it simple and easy to transport with all the gear. The single is setup for open tailgate and the double is setup to allow kayak storage above the tailgate. If you transport two, you will have assistance to lift kayaks on to the higher rack. Just my idea for easy kayak transport. The racks did cost around $220, with powder coating being the major cost.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Florence Lake
« on: November 03, 2019, 06:11:59 PM »
Someone told me that fishing the stream that feeds Florence Lake after October 15 is great for nice size Browns and Rainbows spawning. I went up yesterday and found it to be true.  Landed several nice sized Browns that I released back in to the stream. I believe Edison Lake to be a similar experience. I took my Hobie Outback and paddled to the far end of the lake arriving at about 1:30 pm. The fish were similar in size to the one where I laid my fly rod along side the fish to show size comparison. The large rocks don’t show the actual size of the fish landed. I kept one fish caught while trolling back and twitching a Wooly Bugger fly to the boat launch area. I would recommend a trip before the snow falls, ASAP. As you can, their is ice located at the edge of the stream. It gets cold this time of year.

Well done, for sure. I have been fresh water fishing in a hobie outback and enjoy it.

Not much luck at June Lake. Winding throughout the day with little bite action.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / June Lake
« on: August 06, 2019, 07:06:33 AM »
Went to June Lake yesterday with limited success. Two small fish caught, one abused hatchery fish and one other, both around 10-12”. The lake was windy all day. My buddy caught one nice fish and I lost another nice one. Long day for little action. According to the people we spoke with, it’s been pretty slow on the eastern slope of the Sierras. We will try Crowley Lake today in hopes of a better experience. Any suggestions for fly fishing the area?

Where do you fish in the Central Coastal area and for what? I want to fish that area, but know nothing about the area and where to go. I live in the Central Valley, Clovis area. I spend my time fishing the lakes in the Shaver area.

Are the Shad in the American at this time and if so, how far up the river are they located?
