Title: Sturgeon Bite Starting Wednesday- My Prediction
Post by: Lost_Anchovy on June 28, 2011, 10:36:02 AM
My fisherman gut is tingling and tells me the following.

1) the rain today (in the bay area)will put the sturgeon on the bite.
2) The heat wave from last week will push fresh water from the sierras down the napa river and keep/push the sturgeon in San Pablo looking for mud shrimp.
3). The salinity of the bay will be less and keep the bass and sturgeon in the bay but will drive out the bait to the outside of the gate. This may keep the halibut bite down in the bay, but could drive it outside the gate.
4) The minus tide on Wednesday will turn on the bite for sturgeon.

The best day is on Wednesday but other days will be just as good for the big fish.

but ... of course like fishing..you never know. I could totally be wrong too! :smt044

I'm thinking about putting in my first Sturgeon trip of the season on Sunday. I'll send out a hook up on the board if I decide to go.  - L.A.

Hey L.A., you have a QRAS for your Hobie?  Looking to set one up, so I can join these outings for Sturgies.  :smt003
