That link above is the mobile version.  We need too add youtube to the html commands here.  On humboldttuna.com you click the youtube icon which uses the commands with the link in between the commands and it puts the video in your post.

This should work here -

I trolled for salmon from 100ft to 180ft for one good takedown then after catching a 46.75" 45lb halibut in 215ft of water, I trolled back in to 120ft for nothing. :smt003  When rockfishing near flat iron on the way back I lost a monster ling or maybe a salmon using a barbless mooching right with ano anchovy.  I put a sandab on and caught a feisty small ling.  That was it.  About 10hrs otw and over 12 miles of paddling.

I will be on my buddy's boat saturday for salmon trolling.  Its the same friend I bought my last 3 boats from.  We have caught many hogs together.  Hopefully I can hook a salmon in the 40lb range to top my biggest of 42lbs.

After saturday it will be time to chase the longfins for a few days.  My neighbor finally got his motor fixed so its time  for a tuna massacre.  My shelves are empty as I have eaten all my jars.  Time to restock.

I went out at 1:30pm yesterday.  I started trolling at 70ft and went out up to 120ft about 3 miles out. It was a lil windy, no birds and no bites.  I came back in and played with the rockfish and only managed to catch and release a 19" black and a 18" copper for 6.5hrs otw  There werent many salmon caught yesterday in both Trinidad and Eureka.  The bite has been slow since friday.  Last wednesday I hooked 5 salmon and had many bites for a limit of 1@ 35.68" 21lbs & one almost 1@ 25" 7lbs.  Most action came at 145ft to 155ft straight off Trinidad head about 5 miles from the beach launch.  I was back at the beach at 8:00pm after battling thick fog and white caps that came up after catching the second keeper.  8 fun long hrs otw.

Safety First / Re: Non Yak Near Drowning Story from the LBC

The "group" huddled in prayer were kids his age actually sobbing and praying.  They were doing what they could or should be doing while the adults and trained rescue people do their job.  Everyone can't be out trying to be the hero.  If the kids tried to save him they may have ended up in the same situation.

(a little different conditions but...)  How many times have you read about someone jumping into the river to save their dog, friend, or child and they end up drowning while the person or animal  they were trying to save makes it.

I live in Eureka.  I was planning on some yak fishing tomorrow morning.  Im not sure where yet.  Either bay halibut or troll out near the whistler for salmon and rockfish by the jetties.

I might get myself down there too if Im not too lazy and decide to take my boat out instead.  I want a 40" ling, salmon, and halibut.  Hopefully this rain will be done.  I wanted to take my boat out today for the first time this year after getting some repairs done for a test run, but it has been pouring off and on.

Water is looking mighty flat for another epic days of heavy stringers.

I am going trying and do this one looks like a blast.  Only problem is it conflicts with my favorite and one of the worlds best music festivals, Hardly Strickly Bluegrass festival at Golden Gate park.  If the wind isnt blowing and Im not chasing albacore then it might trump the music.

I have been getting my ling cod tecniques nailed down on the jetties. 4 lings 29"+ in 5 trips.  If the wind holds out I might get some practice on the yak and slay some perch since the rockies arent open from boat yet here.
