Second that. I jig for few seconds and then leave the jig still until u feel it load up with squid and then reel up at a good controlled speed. If you continue to jig up and down as you retrieve, you will just  be knocking the squid off. I have been on the water and watched folks do this.

If not, they might have fresh squid at the end of the first pier by MBK, plus other types of seafood as well as the shop next door that has fresh abalone.

Considering listing some items for sale to be picked up at shelter. Will be there  the 9th and leaving early am Sunday.

At the moment I have extra jig heads ranging from about 3 oz to 6. I also have reels that I will have once I can separate myself from. :smt005

Wow that looked like a fairly smooth ride for a mountain road. My little trailer for my aluminum would have been jumping out on its socks if it had some. Definitely have to look into that set up. Nice job.

You can park on Coronado St, and then scramble down to the parking lot on the trail in the red circle. I did that often the first couple of years I was kayak fishing. But, since I'm now older and lazier, and since sharks started hanging out along the beach, I've lost my enthusiasm for this particular launch site...
