Well, I am not supposed to say, last year when I had the damage, I had trapped about ten, assorted skunks, raccoons and two feral cats. The cat I found a rescue for, the others I first called an animal agent who disposal agent who 200 dollars to get rid of them, basically drown them. After about first five, I decided that was just to expensive, so I did it myself. You are not allowed to re-introduce them to a new area, so........

I have trapped 5 raccoons in the last few weeks, they try to dig under the siding and then make a home under the house, I have found the raccoon traps where they put the paw into and it snaps their leg into the trap to be the best as it does not trap other animal like cats, dogs, skunks and such. I have four traps under the deck and it seems to be working. Last year I had about 12,000 in damages from those little critters, so war was declared. I think I am winning, R.

Hey there Bolicks, what have you been catching at Tomales bay, I was out there several weeks ago crabbing, got enough to last a few weeks but no fish, I was hoping for some Halibut, LMK, interested, R.

Welcome to the club, you buy the first round, R.

The only real drag with ropeless, remote traps is they do not interfere with the whales, so the crab season will be longer,  This will fulfill the new delicacy, crab legs, more crabs will be caught, then sent overseas, where there is a higher profit to be made, the commercial industry will make major bucks and our crab population will decline dramatically to feed the overseas population, oh well, R.

I was also thinking another quick fix would be the wetsuit sealer put on in a thick coat and then several coats of gorilla tape. I think the tape may have to be replace with several contacts, the wetsuit glue is pretty strong, I have sealed drysuit boots on the bottom of the boots and walking on rocks and sand have not taken it off, R.

I was thinking the wetsuit glue around the kydex to seal the weld around the coners, I wonder about oru kayak makes a leak kit that uses a weld glue, maybe that can be bought on the open market, maybe check the website and see if they say what it is, you could also send them an email. I have used it before to fix a crack on my oru and it has been on for several years now. I will do some checking. I may have a small tube around, Ron.

This is a project I need to do also, I will check about the bonding the kydex to the hull, for the silicon I am thinking of wet/dry suit rip glue, it holds up to water and I have repaired holes/tears in dry suit boots quite well, contact a dive store, Ron.

Thank you Paul, the information you gave is great, I'll have to digest it. This will be new for me as last year we just fished off a boat. looking forward to a kayak adventure. I'll review the past post and look for the GPS points, I may have some questions to post, thanks again for your work on this, R.

I was just thinking of making a trek to ARW, I think I'll give it some more time, thanks for the report, R.

Welcome John, you are out in my favorite neighborhood, out there for hikes, shrooming and kayaking. I was just out at Muir this last weekend for crab, brought home several meals. Any time you want to go out, let me know, I am happy to join, Ron.
