Yeah made it out around 4ish.  Stopped by the beach first to check for gapers, got one and then headed to the tide pools.  Saw so many people there with some using shovels and all sorts of tools.  We got about 8-10 lbs of mussels and a few sea urchins.  It was fun and happy the wind didn't pick up.  Made fried clam strips for apps and am now cooking the mussels in white wine, garlic and butter sauce with some home made baguettes.
I see the excitement going on with mussels in hand! I like to know more about the gaper clams! It sounds like a good day! My appetizer for 1 so, yummy after a days of fun!

So, did anybody actually harvest mussels today? I wasn't planning on it but since I've been sucking at perch fishing  I found the opportunity at low tide and plucked about 60pcs. before the sun went down! ( 9-10 lbs)...

Before this year. This was the last time we picked mussels was with these boys after crabbing in November 2014! So, 6 years past before picking the shellfish...

I'm probably bringing my tandem this year.
what are you saying, you want me to go tandem with you :smt005 Okay! Lol. :spank

Derik gets first dibs, but if he doesn't want to go out and fish I'm sure you and I can find a nice, secluded, part of the lake for a lovely sunset paddle.  :smt004

I'll take the engagement photos right at sunset.  Alex is easy, you don't even have to buy him dinner.   :smt044
Your just jealous  :smt005 ooh! sunset could we make till dawn👩‍❤️‍👩🌞

I was just sharing the info because it could change. I harvest twice last month and twice this month and each time I called the number to make sure it was still safe to eat.
Just saying😁
You all go get some and for you who never picked mussels it’s 10lbs. Per lice holders , no tools can be used only hands and make sure you got a good wt. scale or you could get pop foot over limit. Now go get some! And post up the awesome foody pics n eats!
