Did I miss the post? Didn't see anything about firewood this year. I guess we bring our own?

I think the campground may have provided it last year - I think. I camped last year, but don't recall taking advantage of any wood there. Anyone else remember? I am planning on bringing some wood IF there is room left in my car to pack it in.

As I've never been to a GS event, I really don't know, but might you be thinking of Albion where cords of wood are delivered?

I brought 3/4 of a truck load and dropped it off in the corner on Friday last year. I have half a truck bed full for this year but its going to my camp and has to last 4 nights. What ever is left on Saturday will be donated to the party. I would suggest people bring there own. As soon as the sun sets its a pricy commodity.  :smt003

i recall the locals saying there is a pile out near the airport where the locals drop it off. I assume if its true it may be in big rounds.

That wood is usually wet and will not burn.  Jack the Camphost said it's dropped off there from trees they cut down during the winter, and is free for anyone that wants it, but takes a season or two to dry.  He also said it always ends up in the campground, only to be tossed aside when it only smolders.

If I find room I'll bring some more this year also, there better be a cold one waiting for me though  :smt003
