Is this the one you brought out to the forebay earlier this year?  That is a badass rig!  Ya building a new one?

Good luck with the sale!

I finally looked at the website. First sentence is wrong on both fronts: it is neither the largest nor the oldest kayak-fishing tournament.

Some people will claim anything these days.  Lame.

If you want to waste some time, google Cart Narcs.

That was straight gold. I always wished someone would take on this duty...I salute Agent McGraw.

Sometimes I will push the cart behind their car so they need to get out and move it again.  :smt044

That was my old boat!  The Hank Parker edition!   :smt044
Bougt 2007, died 2009 due to drive well crack  :smt009

Yep, that looks like a pre-2012 model, with the mesh pocket right in the crotch area.  Something to avoid due to drive well issues.

Believe his contact info is on coastside

Thank you, I'll have him check out Capt Kahn as well.

Ariel?

Is he running trips?  I'll ping him but this is risky...high chance of unwanted touching and the put out or get out scenario. 🤣

General Talk / 6 Pack Recommendations?
« on: June 14, 2023, 08:07:07 PM »
My boss has been asking me to recommend some 6 pack operations for a rockfish trip later in July. I did recommend Ty (reelobsessionsonoma), but it looks like he is looking for something a little closer.

Anybody have a good experience with any 6 pack rf trips around Monterey/Santa Cruz/HMB/SF area?

Makes me wanna take my AI out for a sail. Thanks for the report, sorry about that biggun you lost...just tell yourself it was a rock and you'll feel better. :smt003

I have a hard time with the main sheet and furling lines.  :smt044.

+1...same here, 2 lines is enough for me.  I probably couldn't manage that all those lines in the video lol

General Talk / Re: Recommendations for home insurance...
« on: June 12, 2023, 03:07:24 PM »
State Farm is no longer selling homeowners insurance to new customers as of about a month ago, regardless of location or hazard designation.

This is interesting.  So what the heck are these insurance companies planning on doing by not insuring homes?  I thought their business was to jack up the insurance prices and either we pay or we don't.  Whats up with just not accepting any customers entirely, or dropping them in NWM's case?

CA Regulations / Re: Commercial Fishing from Kayak
« on: June 12, 2023, 11:12:58 AM »
I've seen photos on IG of that bozo DieHard trying to sell his stupid 22" halibut for $50.  Who knows if that kid is even doing anything on the level, most of them seem to be breaking commercial regulations on the regular so I wouldn't be listening to those guys in terms of how to fully/legally be a commercial fisherman.
