Other Kayaks / Pelican Catch Kayak: PWM modification
« on: November 29, 2022, 06:35:45 PM »
It's getting harder and harder for me to load the kayaks on top of the rack. So I pull the plug and purchase a new kayak/boat that fit inside my Tacoma truck.  Just received it today and really like it  :smt007. Ordered the Minn Kota 50lb thrust and 100AH LiFePO4 battery and can't wait to take it out for a spin.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

It's another gorgeous day in MB.  The water was glassy,  Dolphin pod was at play,  and caught a nice Lingcod for dinner.  I am  blessed to live near the ocean!

Was planning to try fishing with Todd around Lover Point but he rather go Salmon fishing and I won't blame him.   Launched at Coast Guard pier around 6:30am and searching for live baits but found none.  Use frozen octopus that I caught on last trip and got lucky with a nice Halibut.  Caught bunch of small RFs and let them all go.  Nice day OTW.

Anyone try to mount it using bath tub silicon instead of using epoxy or goop?  If yes, any problem with it coming off later?

« on: February 23, 2022, 05:37:39 PM »
Hi guys,

Not mine but I am selling them for a friend.   He doesn't know the year of these kayaks and what's the fair price. Here is a picture of the Kraken 15.5.  The kayaks are at MBK storage. He'll take more pictures and send them to me soon.  Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Met Nuggy on Father's day around 8am at Coast Guard pier and paddled to the Halibut ground to give it a try without takers.   Went over the yellow buoy for RF and we had fun catching Coppers and Golfers.  Called it a day when the fan started to blow.  It's so good to be OTW.

Went to the MB by Lover Point and saw many squid boats out there.  Hopefully the “Ghosts” will be around soon.

Been awhile since my last water therapy session.  Went out for Halibut scouting in Monterey Bay.  The weather was pleasant in the morning  but 2 hours of scouting for Hali was unsuccessful.  Paddled out the yellow can and met 2 other kayaker were fishing in the area.  Picked up the decent Lingcod just in time before the fan turned on.  Took me almost 2 hours to get back in.  Good excersise session!
