How did you do?

I caught a 24" Cali hali. I hooked another, appeared to be bigger than the first but it broke my leader next to the boat. 
The weather turned sour in the early afternoon. I was at the ramp by 1300hrs.
Looks like you had one heck of a drive. It was nice chatting with you yesterday. Hope next time will be productive.

It's a good thing I bought a Perception Pilot...I didn't get yakked off!

I was there and basically just caught weeds.  Did a hail mary and caught something big.  Had an explosive pull that sent my reel screaming.  Felt like pulling a truck.  Turn around and pedal towards its direction to catch up the line.  Saw my lead weight (10ft more to the hooks) when it decided to run again (took a turn towards bay bridge) and eventually lost almost half of my line.. About 25mins (give or take) later, cut through my line clean (30lbs fluoro).

Shark? Or super big ass halibut?

I heard someone caught a shark over the radio. Was that you?

Yep, that was me. I've been after them around Montezuma and Sherman island with no success. One day, I'm hoping to land one in my yak.

Talk about a sleigh ride.

Still need to cross it off my bucket list.
