After 80 views and no replies I'm guessing we still can not park up in HMB.  Oh well, I'll wait till the SIP is lifted and try then.

Stay safe everyone!!

Here is the paddle that goes with the Jackson.  It is an Aqua-bound eagle ray carbon that costs about $180 new.

For Sale / Jackson Kraken 13.5 and a necky

Hi All,

I have a Jackson Kraken 13.5 for sale.  I've used it about a dozen times and have caught a lot of fish out of bean, P.P. light house, SWS and Santa Cruz.  I love this boat but have not used for a little over a year and need to clear out my storage unit.  As you can see in the pics it has the super comfortable seat with lower back support and dry bag that attaches to the back of the seat. ( I never used the lumbar support or dry bag on the water.)  I bought it from kayak connection in Santa Cruz a few years back.  It has been kept in side  and on its side its whole life as per manufactures suggestion.

I installed an anchor trolley system that I used with a drift anchor that works great.

I have a carbon fiber paddle that is included.

I have a milk crate set up to hold poles and a net.  You can have the crate as well.

Over all this is a great boat that paddles great and is a blast to fish from and I'm sad to see it go.

I'd like to get $1000 for the set up.

I also have a Necky Cruzer 2.  It is a tandem kayak  that paddles well for one or two people.

asking $200 for this one.

Shoot me a PM and Ill get back to you.

I have a Jackson Kracken and love it. The seat is super comfy and after 5+ hours in it my but is not sore.
I don't stand on mine but I'm sure I could.

Good luck choosing.

Thanks all. Love do diy everything. I would make a kayak but a roto molder set up is a little cost prohibitive!

I'll let u know how it works on the water.

Looks great.

I'm certainly not advocating buying a rudder kit, but it's buying all the tools that's the really expensive part.

Hi All,
I recently got a Jackson Kraken and so far I am supper stoked with it.  Took it out for the first time last Sunday at Pigeon Pint Light House.  Good times but I noticed it was in desperate need of a rudder.  Looking on line they seemed a bit expensive and well easy to make, so I made one.  Started out searching designs on line and started drawing up some plans in Auto Cadd.  First I decided to cut a prototype out of ¼” ply wood with a CO2 laser, here is my prototype with a few different rudder shapes, made up a “fish tail” one for fun.

Took it home and did some measurements and made a few changes and then cut it out of stainless and aluminum with a CNC plasma cutter, grabbed some stainless screws etc… and here it is.  Waiting for some stainless cable and then I will get the foot pedals set up it in the next day or so.

I could bring it to HMB so you can try it and get some crab for dinner on Sunday.
if I am not too hungover from the Barrel Wine Tasting on Saturday in Sonoma.

Luis,
Thanks but i am busy this weekend.  I think I'm going to wait on a boat at this time.  Thanks for the invite tho.
