« on: December 12, 2016, 11:05:53 PM »
Like new Wilderness Systems ATAK 140. I have only used it 3 times. I have 5 other kayaks I use much more so this one needs to go. No rigging has been done. As shipped from the factory to my door. The Color is Desert Camo. It has a couple scratches/dings in a couple locations. It came that way from the factory. Slight Damage only. New retails for $1799. Save big on this one. This is the only picture I have of it since it was only out a 2-3 times. Taken at a veterans kayak fishing event.

Retail new: $1799

*BMB not included with sale.

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Albion 2017 camping
« on: October 26, 2016, 11:05:37 AM »
If you requested more than 1 site for the tourney next year you may want to make sure they gave you what you asked for. I requested 2 sites side by side when we were there for the last tourney like I have for the last 4 years. They had us fill out site requests when we were there. I was just notified that they only reserved 1 for me. They did not even contact me to see if I would like another option or another site to make up my total of 2. There are not any sites available now for me to even get the second I want. Not Happy. :-(

EVENT IS LIMITED TO 20 PARTICIPANTS PER DAY PLUS VOLUNTEERS

Ok everyone. Here is the event you have been waiting for. We have confirmation that the lake is ours for 4 days. We will be inviting the vets to come on Fri-Sun. Thursday is our if you can make it there. Camping for them is welcomed/encouraged, as well as for all of the volunteers. HOW will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Sat. We would like to do an NCKA style potluck on Fri night. We will request that vets bring their own camping gear, but in the case they do nat have any, maybe we can bring a few extra things for them. We also would like everyone to bring their own food to fill in around what we do not supply. Everyone can use the HOW cooking gear if needed. Stay tuned for more details as we work them out. I will always update on this first thread.

This will be a good way to end the HOW season. We have had a great year thanks to all of our great volunteers.

Thank you all, The HOW Team

Update #1-If any of you know of vets that are not already volunteers, please reply to DirtyBassChucker to make sure we have room. Please post on this thread as well.

Other Kayaks / Perception Pescador Pilot--Another Pedal Drive Kayak
« on: July 11, 2016, 08:08:17 PM »
For those of you looking for a pedal drive for a little less money look at the Pescador Pilot. Same drive as the Wildy line, with fewer features. Does not pop up, but will still lift into the hull for zero draft. Just not spring loaded. $1700 Price point. I believe that makes it the least expensive pedal drive in the industry.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 11, 2016) – Wilderness Systems, the industry leader in kayak fishing innovation, today announced the highly anticipated release of its A.T.A.K. 120—an advanced tactical angling kayak that maintains the original 14-foot kayak’s award-winning features with a new, more compact 12-foot design.
“The A.T.A.K. 120 meets the demands of any angler who wants a smaller version of the original A.T.A.K. that took the kayak fishing world by storm,” said Evan Lyendecker, marketing director for Wilderness Systems. “Its innovative design offers maximum comfort and increased maneuverability with the same stability, wind shedding and walkable platform as its predecessor.”
The A.T.A.K. 120 features Wilderness Systems’ proprietary S.M.A.R.T. Hull Technology throughout the design that combines stability, maneuverability, acceleration, responsiveness and tracking for optimal performance in a range of environments. Design elements include an increased rocker profile to better negotiate moving water, a defined keel line for excellent tracking, and the unmistakable wind shedding low-profile of the A.T.A.K. 140.
The acclaimed, patented AirPro MAX seat returns with improved adjustability and the addition of quick-adjust cam levers, allowing users to adjust to their preferred trim for maximum comfort and performance. Mounting locations for the essential, patent-pending AirPro 3D seat are also included in the design. The exclusive Flex Pod OS system, combined with two additional hatches, provides the 120 ample storage space as well as the option for electronics or Helix MD™ Motor Drive integration. A secondary transducer scupper also has been added to allow more flexibility for electronics, including side-scanning.
SlideTrax™ and plenty of open mounting space provide the ability for unprecedented customization. The A.T.A.K. 120 offers three Power-Pole® locations—a Power-Pole can now be deployed from a tankwell scupper or from the recess located left and right side of the stern.
The A.T.A.K. 120 costs $1,649 USD and will be available in six colors—Desert Camo, Dusk, Mango, Midnight, Solar, and Sonar—in November 2016.
