Wanted To Buy / WTB- Yakima Control Towers & Landing Pads
« on: April 15, 2016, 01:07:21 PM »
I'm looking for a set of (4) Yakima Control Towers and Landing Pads for use with a Yakima installed track system. I already have a set of bars, locks, and the tracks taken care of so it would just be the towers and landing pads I'm interested in.

Let me know if you have a used set laying around that you would like to part with.

Thanks
Erik

« on: January 18, 2014, 04:53:12 PM »
There has been a few of you who have been asking for some pictures of the current water levels at Folsom lake. Here you go!

I spent the day with family and friends hiking around the lake at several locations looking at the old exposed bridges and building foundations. It was pretty cool but man was it crowded. We even tried to get into Brown Ravine but cars were backed all the way up to Green Valley Rd.

Pictures-
1. Salmon Falls-South fork inlet
2. Salmon Falls- Old Salmon Falls Bridge
3. Folsom Point (aka- Dyke 8 ) - Facing the Dam
4. Folsom Point (aka- Dyke 8 )- Looking towards browns Ravine

Fish Talk / New Inland waters Salmon/Steelhead regs 2013-14
« on: April 17, 2013, 10:17:13 PM »
For those of you who are getting ready for this years inland salmon run and haven't read the new regs make sure you note the changes for determining species for salmon and steelhead in inland water. This means no more filleting on the banks prior to taking the fish home. Its time to bring a bigger cooler especially those who are coming from out of town.

Chapter 1. General Provisions and Definitions
1.45. FILLETING OF SALMONIDS IN INLAND WATERS.
Except as otherwise required, all salmon and steelhead taken in inland waters where a sport fishing license is required, must be kept in such a condition that species and size can be determined until placed at the anglers permanent residence, a commercial preservation facility or being prepared for immediate consumption. Also when required, the presence or absence of a healed adipose fin scar must be able to be determined until placed at the anglers permanent residence, a commercial preservation facility, or being prepared for immediate consumption.
Personal residence means one’s principal or ordinary home or dwelling place, as distinguished from one’s temporary or transient place of residence or dwelling such as a cabin, tent, trailer house, recreational vehicle, or any hotel, motel or rooming house used during a fishing, pleasure or business trip.

After some issues with our AT&T U-verse and receiving several new pieces of equipment I was directed to replace the equipment along with their Residental Battery Backup Unit with the new one they sent. The old one was not to be sent back with the other old equipment and I was suppose to dispose of it properly....Well I think I took care of that.

After looking at it a little closer and taking the back cover off I noticed that it consisted of the same 12v 7ah back up battery as I use in the fish finder. I also noticed the power supply cord for the gateway controller would work with the VHF charger. So there you have it an all-in-one docking charging unit for the Yak needs.
If anyone wants to know the unit is Belkin Residential Battery backup Unit model number BU3DC001. The product specs can be located online at Belkin’s website.
