Anyone heading out tomorrow on the Sonoma (ish) coast, I only ask because some of the surf reports are showing some strange readings.

Thanks

General Fishing Tips / Soft plastics on bounce ball rigs
« on: July 29, 2017, 12:35:22 PM »
So for a while Ive been hearing about people using soft plastic lures typically used for rockfish and lingcod, on the end of bounce ball rigs right after a dodger for halibut. I was wondering what kind of lures and what size of lures are typically used with this method of fishing?

Today I went to tomales bay to try my luck for some of those halibut that Ive been hearing so much about,  unfortunately I did not get the chance to bring one home. But I did catch a small leopard shark and one other such creature, that from looking on this forum, I'm pretty sure was an angel shark. Never seen one of those in person and was both surprised and confused when I got a good look at it.

Introductions / New to the forum
« on: July 14, 2017, 05:59:13 PM »
Hello
Ive been lurking around this forum for a while and finally decided to make an introduction. I'm from Petaluma and bought a kayak a little over a year ago and have been fishing the popular saltwater areas near me. Among these waters I have fished tomales bay a number of times for complete skunks on all occasions, and I was wondering if anyone had some tips for fishing that area.
