Skunked the past two trips to the Marin coast - so going to give a half day try at HMB trolling deep for salmon or halibut. I知 launching from the old pier - I typically head across the harbor in the dark to exit the jaws at first light. I値l have my radio on 69.

Cheers

Heard of a few Halibut today, but on the inside, not deep. No Salmon reported, but IDK if anyone was trolling out deep. Most weren't targeting Salmon at all.

All the signs were there - tons of bait, birds and even a couple whales on both sides of the reefs. Someone forgot to mail the invite to the salmon though. Came home with five chunky rockfish that hit on the troll. Best conditions I've seen all year.

Cheers,
Brad

Get'em Yao - bait was stacked inside and out to 100' of water. Water was a couple degrees cooler than Marin coast as well at 60 degrees. I think it will be a go soon if all that bait sticks around.

Good luck.

Cheers,
Brad

Hi Brad,

Good to meet you in HMB.  Nice weather and tons of fun catching bait and rock fish.   Hope to do a real surf launch after more practice on calm waters.
