General Talk / Rockfish
« on: July 24, 2023, 04:20:29 PM »
I’m hoping to go out Wednesday for rockfish. Anyone got any general locations in either the Morro Bay or Monterey area. I’m in Fresno so trying to keep the drive reasonable. Thanks in advance.

I wish I could but I’m working weekends right now CA and won’t be off till Monday morning. Hopefully we can sometime soon.

General Talk / Halibut help
« on: March 30, 2023, 10:20:00 PM »
Is anyone willing to share some general info about halibut kayak fishing? I’m in Fresno and can pretty much go anywhere along the central coast. I have fished halibut many times from boats but never from the kayak. Not looking for anyone’s spot but some general ideas on good areas and tackle tips would be great. Thanks.

General Talk / Rockfish advice?
« on: November 18, 2022, 08:56:37 AM »
Hi does anyone have any advice for a newbie on where to go for some rockfish? I’ve always went to spooners cove in morro bay but looking to try something different. Preferably with an easy launch and decent water conditions. Of course I’ll check the weather and water conditions before heading out. I have quite a bit of experience fishing from boats but new to the kayak. I live in Fresno and don’t mind a few hour drive so anything on the central coast is great. Thanks in advance.

Introductions / New Here
« on: November 16, 2022, 10:06:21 PM »
Hi I’m new here and thankful to have found this group. I recently started kayak fishing. I have a Vibe SeaGhost 130. I’ve done a lot of saltwater boat fishing but just getting into the kayak fishing. Any helpful tips or advice on where to fish and what to target around central California is helpful. I’m from Fresno and mostly fish around the bay and central coast area especially Morro Bay.
