I want to extend a big thanks to Eric for the invite, it made my day when I got it, and has really helped me be in good spirits since then as well.
Henry and I had a great time, Tall Matt made it with us as well, and my GF too.
due to my own brain (its been a socially tough few years) we mostly stayed around The Tides hotel until sunday
We had a blast doing family things with the kiddo all dang day fri and sat, mostly watching him in the tidepools and the beach in front of the tides.
We did make it out on the water for a while during the tournament but due to health issues I didnt stay out long and just watched henry punch through the waves in front of the launch for over an hour, pretty funny watching a hobie come through wave after wave after wave. must be something about being lighter than the kayak itself to not getting bogged in the surf?
Sunday we made it over for gyotaku and boy was that fun making awesome shirts with Brandi and David! Henry has already worn his shirt to school and the sweatshirt and told everyone about his adventure.
Thank you to everyone we visited with for a wonderful and loving welcome back, it really means the world to me. Everyone was so welcoming and open for Henry and Mikaela as well, Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Again, Thank you Eric for putting this amazing event on for so long and reaching out, you're an amazing person!

also, henry still doesn't understand why Dennis is so nice and bad ass ;) , BTW, he wants a van like that so he can travel and be awesome like that too. he's already planning when I will take him out to use the jigs. Thank you!

🤣🤣🤣...My bro, always stepping up and calling it as it is..Luv it👏🏽👏🏽
Man the good Ol days of just fun fishing events and FNC's before COVID are gone. I'm real blessed and fortunate to have hosted, fish and chill and participate in a lot of those events with many of you. But I sure don't miss the fuckery and the few snakes that took advantage of ncka events for personal financial gain. This DieHard character sounds like the new Justin Graves🤣🤣🤣.

Those were good days for sure. Even if a few of us did get our feathers ruffled from time to time it all made sense in the end.
Back to solo or very small group trips has been good for my brain over the big super$$comp$$ events for sure

Agreed, they are hard to shoot but work well if you hit right.  I found using extra long feather fleched arrows helps keep things moving straight.

nice shot!

General Fishing Tips / Re: SC Wharf Macks

Might try the wharf again on Sunday, although it could be pretty cold and windy from the forecast.  I've not tried for them from shore Jim, but I think they go wherever the anchovies are, so if they are near shore it might be doable.  Otherwise the wharf has had anchovies for several weeks, and it looked like another batch of pinheads were present at the end of the wharf when I went on Wed.  I only needed a sabiki and no bait to catch them, but if a few of them hit at once, your rod could go over the rail if the drag isn't set light enough.
Right on, I'll take a rod and low expectations, lol [emoji23]
