REI-Outlet currently has a 2mil farmer john on sale for $69.99 plus I have a coupon for 20% off. Is 2mil good enough if I take a spill in the ocean?

Thanks for the input! I would of never thought to look at costco. They have some on the website for $39.99 however they only go down to the knees. I'm going by the bassproshop tonight in Manteca to see what they have. Oh what mm do you recommend?

Hey guys -

Could you recommend a brand or place where I could get a wetsuit. I've notice there are different types: farmer john with and without boots, waiters, and fullbody. What is the best style for kayak fishing?

Thanks,  John

General Fishing Tips / Re: Delta Fishing Near Hood/Courtland

Thanks for the great information. If I'm fishing for stripers or largemouth, what type of set up would I use (pound of line, weights, bait)? Would I troll or anchor and cast out? I'm new to fishing and kayaking and I appreciate everyones help. Once I get ready I'll send out a request to see if anyone would like to join me. Thanks

General Fishing Tips / Delta Fishing Near Hood/Courtland

Hello all -

I just moved to the Delta and I interested in fishing. I live in a small town called Hood near Courtland. Not in the Hood:) What type of set up do I need on my line? Do you recommend live bait? I want to take advantage of going out on my kayak and I was planning to go somewhere in the middle of the river and drop two lines. Could you give me any recommendations regarding fishing in the Sacramento River?
