I don't think any money has been paid to any of the other sanctioning bodies.

They don't even they classify it as a kayak based on the name BOATworks.
I think if they called it KAYAKworks they'd take too much flack from the community. Just my .02.

I don't disagree.  It is a human powered fishing platorm.

I would say the same thing about "kayaks" like a Titan.

I actually paddled a Bluesky as well.  The move along pretty well standing with a SUP paddle.

Kinda interested in one of these.

Noticed they have been allowed in other yak events and tourneys.

Doesn't look like a yak, but not really any different than a Hobie with an ama either.

Can I get a ruling?

Maneuverability is not a gimmick.  White water boats are very maneuverable...for functionality.  Same with any river boat.  My classic Coosa is super maneuverable...its a river boat and it needs to be.  Does all that rocker make it slow?  Of course it does.  Does it matter in a fast river?  Not at all. Does all that rocker make it turn on a dime so I can dodge a strainer?  YES IT DOES!

If I want to go fast and straight I have a boat for that application as well.

The drive popping up is a pre-production issue that has been resolved in the production models.

Identifying issues like this in advance of release is exactly why they sent test mules all over the globe.

Production boats are still a month or two out.  I will let everyone know when the official release is scheduled.

Rod tubes are easy to make out of any size PVC tubing.

In my experience the real problem with rod tubes are:

1) Oversize luggage ends up somewhere else.  Depending on the airport this is or isn't a big deal.  But when your bags are Here and your tube of expensive rods is WAY OVER THERE bad shit can happen.

2) Once on ground you now have giant thing that won't fit in any car.

3) The TSA.  Even in a tube I've had guides get messed up.  So you need to put each rod in an individual sock at a minimum.  The lower guide on spinning rods in particular is a fn pain in the ass.  Anyways you get all of your babies snuggle up and some a$$hat at the TSA pulls them all out...unwraps everything...can't figure out how to get them back in and carnage ensues.

I've had a number of travel rods break as well but I have had excellent results with Okuma Nomads.

Rod tubes work and I have flown many times with them but they are a PITA.

I know other that have had good success with Fox travel rods.

Super late to this party but I fish two rods of my center hatch all of the time.

It is a bit jiggly but I haven't habd any reason to change it.

It's my favorite two rod setup ever.
