Someone has just made me an incredible deal on some AI parts (specifically, aka bars, which are 1 5/8" aluminum tubing, about 4' or 5' long, plus a few smaller parts) that I've been looking for forever. The only catch is that they're in Reno and I won't be able to get there for months, if then. So, if anybody happens to be heading from Reno to anywhere near San Jose and would be willing and able to carry these parts, let me know.

Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

Thanks for offering, but I think we’ve got a delivery arranged.

My winter project will be a Revo 16 to AI conversion…

GD that's an interesting idea.  Two single outrigger AI's joined together like a Voltron with a motor to jam out to the fishing grounds and separate on the water to slay some fish then jet back in  :smt044

I agree. Since I’ve got the Revo 16 and an AI, I’ve considered making a side-by-side tandem, with 2 sails. I don’t think amas would be necessary, and it would be fast even in light wind. The biggest issue I could see would be transportation, even with a trailer.

Hadn’t thought about separability, or motor, but both are great ideas.

Two sails sounds like too much, gust risk would probably climb considerably.  But one sail on the AI side might work.  I have an idea, if I can make it work with my AI/Outback combo, I will for sure!
Probably easiest thing to do is to connect two 2019+ Outbacks.  Of course the aluminum bench will be in the middle  :smt007
