I no longer have a kayak, but I'd be willing to take you out in the bay and search for some Calibutts. Maybe a lil rockfishing out towards the jetti on my boat

Go with a Kohler or American stard cast iron tub and do tile surround. After COVID most of the acrylic and fiberglass tubs went to crap. Most of the ones we get are either damaged or had a bad mold with weak spots

250 for fish bag and tekota if we can work out shipping. I'll pay shipping

Sorry to hear this Paul. It's never a good feeling. I donated a very expensive spj setup to Humboldt bay a cpl years ago.  My buddy hooked a big halibut right next to me and had no net. In a frenzy I just sat the rod next to me. Bumped it when I went to net his fish. For a very light rod it sure sank fast. Fished that exact spot for 2 hours. Never got the rod but I got 2 - 28 inch halibut from the exact spot

Do you have any open rooms. Maybe I could talk the wife into coming down for the weekend with the kids and letting me bring the boat to "provide support" as I no longer own a kayak  Also do a lil fishing of course. Ps yes I'd be there for boat support as well of course. Just got a nice lil whaler sport that could def use some cove time
