Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Malone trailer- Megawings or bunks
« on: May 17, 2019, 07:15:18 PM »
Trailer folk, I just bought a used Malone Microsport and it has the sup pads. What are people's experience with either Megawings or 7' bunks.  I'm hoping to keep my Trident 15 on it at times. Would either be okay to store the yak on? I've read through storage posts and articles. As well as Malone posts. There seem to be lots of different opinions.

Thanks and be safe, Wolf

For Sale / Outbacks for TC?

Not mine.  What are the thoughts on these as dedicated TC/OC fishing machines? Brother and I are six footers and it will be our first kayaks.  https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/boa/d/hobie-fishing-kayak-pair-with/6335960352.html

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Oakland area fishing shop
« on: September 05, 2017, 04:59:16 PM »
I was hoping to find a good local shop to support and was bummed to hear Outdoor Pro in Oakland closed, but today I stopped into West Marine. The employees seemed friendly, but said they were "noobs" and still learning about fishing. It is a chain, but at least its supporting a physical retail location.

They had decent stock (2 Ugly Tigers 7' medium I will buy) and said they can order anything on the website.  Prices looked MSRP.  They had a decent looking selection of refrigeratorated bait. I would rather give my money to a independently owned place.  Any other closish places to check out?

Introductions / Timber Cove
« on: June 03, 2017, 11:19:03 PM »
Well hello,

My wife's family has a cabin a couple hours up the coast in Timber Cove.  Going up and down while building out the property I kept seeing you guys out there in the kelp beds.  So much of the best of my youth was spent fishing (Mostly fresh water) and as a younger man I enjoyed the waves, so I knew I had to get out there.  Next month I'm taking a class from Coastal Kayak Fishing.  In the meantime I'm going to mine all your shared knowledge on this site, so thank you in advance.  I hope contribute one day and be an asset up there.

Be safe.
