Not sure about GSPs but I have run hounds and apbt's my whole life and I'll always take a female over a male . I obviously had males but when I'm buying a dog to start a program or to use I'll take a bitch every time. they're not as hardheaded, they take instruction better and are just easier to deal with. Not 100% but more times than not they're easier to handle.

Thank yall for the warm welcome. I'll definitely keep my eyes open and get out to a hook up and try and do the safety class. I'm mostly interest in ocean and bay  fishing, rockfish, salmon, halibut.... all the usual suspects..

I've been interested in kayak fishing for a while and am ready to jump in and get to learning. Wondering what my first step should be. I've paddled a few kayaks and also learned to paddle a pirouge and Jon boat as a kid in SW Mississippi.I'm looking forward to getting into this lifestyle.

General Talk / Need advice on getting into Kayak fishing
« on: July 13, 2008, 02:47:20 PM »
I've been reading this board and other kayak boards for a while and really want to get into fishing from a kayak. Fresh and saltwater but I'm wondering what's the best way to get started?

It seems like a load of fun and will only add to my time on the water ( which is suffering because of kids and wife duties among other things) but I think kayak fishing could give me more time on the water since I don't have a boat . Anyway any and all help yall can provide will be greatly appreciated.

For Sale / Penn 113HLW ( 4/0 Wide) for sale
« on: February 17, 2005, 10:13:29 AM »
Hey yall I have a brand new in the box Penn 4/0 wide that I want to sell. I'm asking 100 even for it plus shipping if it has to be shipped. I bought it last year thinking I'd get to go home and fish off the beaches and piers for shark, and such but the way things are going that won't be happening anytime soon so I'd rather sell it to someone that can use it than have it just sit here and collect dust. Thanks

Man I'm just starting to get into kayak fishing(don't even have a yak yet) but with the talk of catching sturgeon in Alviso yall are going to make me go get a yak tomorrow. I live all of 5 miles from Alviso and have been wondering ever since I moved over here if fishing there was any good. What else can be caught in that area?
