Im lately kind of obsessed with the idea of doing a backyard clambake, either in ground or on a range. Never actually having eaten a proper new england clambake, wondering if anyone w experience thinks it’s doable?
It seems like not much different from hawaiian imu luau cooking. Also seems similar to a crab boil, or seafood boil in a bag a la Boiling Crab?
Whats the difference and dyu think it’s achievable backyard dining?

I've never tried cooking one myself, but I ate quite a few during the decade that I lived in MA and MD. The closest that we do now is Chinese hotpot (my wife is Taiwanese).
In any case, I think it should definitely be do-able, and I'm interested to see what the experts here have to say...
