« on: May 12, 2025, 03:18:57 PM »
there is a nice pole and reel in 24' of water in Bullards bar right now for free....  :smt013 $350.00 worth!!! :smt010 :smt009 :smt044

Yes it’s deep. They are probably out looking for balled up Shad offshore by now.
Ya, ya have to find the bait out there. jigging just above or below a bait ball in 20 to 50 ft will usually put the bass in the boat. 1/2-2oz pins minnow or other like jig will hook um

It was a great day on the water, sun and low wind (Need 5mph wind chop for kokes to get on a good bite i think) I did get 2 kokes and one LARGE bass (21") while trying to retrieve my lost rod with a ling jig :smt044 thought i had hooked a rock, gave a good tug, and it tugged back!!! released at surface due to the "jig" it was caught with.  :smt003 had to run at noonish so the tri tip was safe. glad I got to see y'all for a bit. Maybe not on Mothers day weekend next year? :smt004

hell ya! striper fever! yellow, denge, disco, fever! :smt044

I will be there! Won't be on a kayak though :smt012 did some damage to myself on lake berryessa. I'll be in the orange monster sail/skiff POS and will have to leave noonish. (Mothers day prepping) wanted to see everyone (and chase Kokes) it is what it is. See y'all way to early on Saturday morning :smt005

I’m going to bbq a Tri-Tip for the potluck. Get your helping quickly before Brian and Ron get to it or their may not be any left!
What time is the Pot luck!?!?!? Hope I can make it to fish but Tri tip is safe as I will have to run out before all the shenanigans, if I make it at all...

Sooo, we went to Berryessa this weekend. I tried to keep up with my brother in the kayaks :smt005 Now I'm downing Ibuprofen like PEZ  :smt044 We Caught chinook salmon, koke's, rainbow trout, bass, crappie, even a BIG pike minnow on a whopper plopper. The wind tried to keep us away but we got in to them! 5 kings in 2 days on koke setups!!!! I might have to get a site there for next year, same time, same place... Steele canyon and we never left the 5mph area! I might get up to bullards for the day with y'all. Good luck and stay safe!

We had too much fun!!! I tried to keep up with my brother in the kayaks :smt005 Now I'm downing Ibuprofen like PEZ  :smt044 Caught chiny salmon, koke's, rainbow trout, bass, crappie, even a BIG pike minnow on a whopper plopper (worm guy, Tom) even with all of that :smt004 when we saw Al's MONSTER cat slob fish, we were instantly under achievers... I'll let Al tell that epic story   :smt044 Y'all missed out for sure (except for the bathroom situation, Never bring Clam chowder to an event with only portopots and pit toilets) Quiet calm weekend with most passed out by 10 pm (Andy, we needed you there!) :smt003 Forebay next year, plan on it and let's keep the party going! :smt007

Just checked with Steele canyon. rain possible fri/sat asked, if outer hull is rain wet, if it would be a problem. they said no. clean and dry inside/ toss a big towel in the hatch to catch any water getting inside

Looks like a storm troopers weekend! :smt006

It'll be back at the Forebay next year. Gonna miss you, cat daddy!  :smt008
