A buddy of mine had his bachelor party on the Owens river for a little beer drinking and fly flinging.
The beauty that is the Owens river valley is out of control. The fishing was hit and mis, we had it dialed in after a day or so.
The wind would pick up at 12-3 or so every day then die of at dark, due to bishop heating up.
The caddis were out but not in force.
The hot bite was on woolly buggers in any thing but green due to the moss, almost every cast you would have to clean your gear.
We caught lots of fish per day, can't put a number on it with the biggest at 16 inch and looking for a fight!
The guys are still up there and fishing Crowley, and getting in to some bigger browns. All I got in the river was rainbows, but a few browns were caught by the crew.
All fish went back but one that was a bleeder!

I wish I had more to say.. it was crap as for the conditions .Saturday was perfect, sorry Scott I waited as long as I could. the abbing was good I had A limit of 8.5 to 8.75 snails and my Buddie  Kevin had one at 7.5.
Sunday I awoke at 0600 to wind and sun, knowing that bigger wind was to come we hit the salt.I think I fished for 20 min. befor I through in the towel. In that 20 I was blown from Ocean Cove to Stillwater cove with no fish to show for it I packed it in it took more than A hour to make it the normally short paddle to the launch., at one point I thought about cracking A beer and riding the wind to Sillwater and walking back to camp for Kevin's truck...  :smt011
I have had some not so good day's on the water but the wind went from OK to the worst  conditions I have ever had in about 15 minutes. the kicker was there were guy's going out after we got in.  all I could say was why .
Kevin scraped A 24.5 inch ling and A black

OK,it all starts one week ago.my pop's rolls by the shop and asked if I would take him fishing on fathers day,I quickly replied with A hells yes.you see my dad got me into fishing when I was A young in, then  gave it up along with camping when I was nine or ten,so its now 22 years or so later .
He picks me and the dog up at 08:00 and we head for Georgetown. we hit up the Marval for some sammiches, beef jerk and ice, about $17.00.being A nice son I spring, then the hardware store for black rooster tails for $3.29 each I got him four( I figured he would be A little rusty and loose A few in the trees).I enjoyed talking about old slow motorcycle and fast young women till we hit the trail. After A nice two mile walk we got to the old camp that my moms father found in the late forties after the war.
I showed him around  fish camp and told some stories about all the good times that I had had with my uncle Steve who kept me fishing and camping all these years.after A much need snack and hydration we walked the last 1/4 mile to the fishin grounds.
I start setting up my rod, but he had A head start,so I ask him if he remembers the fishermans knot as I flash back to the time when he first taught me. he forgot,so I hooked him up with A quick howto and off we went looking for browns.then he asked me how to fish(he meant the lure)I just about lost it (LMAO) and told him ok I will catch the fish for you ,but all the lil ones are yours he replied with Smart ass.any way I let him get the first two, then I turned on the heat with six total for the day and pops had four all C&R. I don't know how to post pics,Sorry
Hands down the best fathers day for both of us.The best part was reteaching the old boy how to do some thing that he taught me,all them years ago.......PRICELESS
I guess the moral of the story is be careful what you teach us smart ass kids because we might learn you  on some thing you forgot. :smt003
 Happy Fathers Day.
