Our Eyes are Open!  The Craigs List Pages have been shut down, so there must have been something going on there.

Wow!  "Way Cool" for both of you and NCKA.  It is heartwarming to think we are important enough to let us in on this great news.  Many thanks for making us a part of your family and am looking forward to "Yakking" with both of you.

Way Cool Bro!  If the rest of the world could just start thinking and acting like this, we could start to make headway as a human species.

I went out on the Qualifier 105 on it's maiden kayak trip.  We got blown off the water and never got to fish.  I am looking forward to doing it again on a Kayak only trip.  Perhaps NCKA would like to completely take over the Boat with a large group of us.

Ernie, you should have stuck with us rather than going solo.  Deva got a great (still unidentified) fish (we think it was something that was way lost from Southern Calif) and Lars got a very nice "Cabbie".  I agree, it was slower than we expected but the "Bird Hunting" was not as good up near the Light House.

I am going down to La Paz at the end of September to fish with Jonathan and Jill.  The question, can I feel relaxed about using their gear (Rods and Reels)?  It would be so much simpler than trying to take tackle with us.

Thanks Jim!  I will definitely try this.  So far, getting these little white filets off rock fish has been an experience in protein but no taste.  This definitely looks more interesting.  I can't believe all these years I have been ordering whole fish when in Mexico (and loved it) but didn't even start to think that perhaps these are the same thing but only had to stop and think about how I would cook it.  The prevailing thought here locally is "Fish Tacos" which are fine but as you have just shown me, there is another way.  Thanks again!

I have never thought of pan frying the little guys whole.  It looks very good.  Do you do anything special to them or just "Fry Em?"

In case you did not get the phone call, I will meet you at the Harbor at 6:30.  If you find the fog is too thick to be safe, let me know in advance to save driving time.

Congratulations on the "Catch".  This will be the start of many more.  As to the White Bug Things, "No Idea" but make sure you cook them well before eating.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Santa Cruz

I am observing only Fog and Wind in Santa Cruz.  Is there any fishing going on or are we all waiting for better conditions?  There seems to be no reports at all.

As I get older, I have to (with regrets) say the next generation "Rocks".  Keep up the good work.

I have still to catch my first "Butt".  WTG, it gives me hope.

Brendan, was that you in the Orange Kayak just outside the Surf at the Harbor Beach?  I couldn't believe what I was seeing with Sea Lions hunting in the first breakers not more than 5 feet off the beach.
