This seat was intended to go with Mooch's Trident 15,
that was his favorite yak that he had for many years.
I believe a few people went together and purchased it to keep in in NCKA as a loaner. I would really prefer to have it stay with that yak.
Last I know of, Piski or Big Jim had possession.
Sorry for ant confusion
;0)
Right on. Hopefully the reunion takes place.  Tight lines

I was given this a while back, but would like it to be reunited with the Mooch Yak. Whoever has possession of the legendary yak, can you please contact me for arrangements (poss pick up at GS)
Thanks,

General Talk / Is Bills Baitz still in business
« on: March 14, 2017, 12:02:08 PM »
Howdy Y'all , I ordered some Sand dab swimbaits from bills baitz last week. I received an order confirmation email. But when I tried emailing them to ask questions it was sent back as an undeliverable email Addy , and when I call the outgoing VM message is just the computer voice that recites the number I dialed. Curious if anybody has information on how it works ordering from them and whether they are still in business.

Thanks in advance
Micha

General Fishing Tips / Re: I get a new Rod and Reel for Christmas
« on: December 22, 2015, 08:04:31 PM »
Just be careful when casting heavy weights.i was told by a retailer when I bought mine it was rated to 6oz.the guy said you can't cast 6oz weights with it but you can drop up to 6ozs with it
I'll be the first to admit , I'm green as a pea when it comes to ocean fishing, but is it common to CAST  that much weight.....

Sincerely,
Ocean ignorance
1-3 Oz is gonna be the average if your surf casting.but if your jigging for rock fish from a vessel it all depends on how fast the current is.if the drift is mellow you'll jig 2-4oz but when the drift is fast you'll go 6-16oz.
16oz?????  A pound of lead ???  Dragging the ocean floor , holy Toledo , I guess. I'll mount a winch on the end of a shovel handle........:-)

I fish swimbaits and 2-4oz is enough for me. I only use 6oz when the drift is ripping and can't make contact with the ground.

OK , that makes sense, I'm sure they exist , but I can honestly say I've never sat and examined a lure , ....heck a sinker for that matter,  that weighed ,that much. Casting it , must feel incredibly awkward. But with the right rod and reel , I bet anything over 2 oz. would go half way to the moon
