Wanted To Buy / Next AR 15 build
« on: February 20, 2017, 06:10:53 PM »
Its stormy outside so I think I will build an AR. Heck why not? Anyone have any leads on decent uppers? Or have any parts/pieces they are looking to off load? I dont need the lower, but a lower parts kit or a drop in trigger. .223 or 5.56 nato. Either one

Let me know

Wanted To Buy / Rod reel combo
« on: February 19, 2017, 05:15:43 PM »
Hey brothers and sisters, I am looking for a rod reel combo to outfit my little brother. 6'6" to 7' rod and good reel for all around inshore fishing.
Penn 209 levelwind
Penn pursuit II 4000-6000 are some examples.
If anyone has any collecting dust, let me know. I want to finish setting him up before the opener.
Thanks everyone.

I dont have any experience with those desalinators. I do use their filters when backpacking and they are great. If its a survival thing, maybe look into a solar still. Those desalinators are pricey.
Good luck

Start it in neutral and use your park brake.

Cal Fire is sending strike teams to assist if it fails. Next week will be another big test.

For sunglasses, I like a company called Suncloud, they are Smith sunglasses, but really cheap. I like them because they have all the feel and features of expensive glasses but are cheap. Plus I have a pro deal so 25 bucks shipped :smt003

Craftsmen's Corner / Lowrance scupper mount
« on: January 10, 2017, 03:44:42 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with the Lowrance Scupper mount transducer kit? I am using a through hull set up now but would like to switch to the scupper. My other boat has a scupper mounted Humminbird which works out great. I want to install the scupper mounted transducer by lowrance on an OK T 13. Any help is appreciated. Kits are 40 bucks

Sounds like Bonny Doon squeezed plenty of rain out of this storm. D-mason.net has a weather station over off of pineridge. Good local weather info.

The conspiracy theorist in me says, "careful, this is step one toward registration." ..... he's not always wrong....

I think I will just make a laminated card and tie it to the battery bag

I usually mark my major equipment with my CDL number. Just as an identifier. I will be marking my Yaks with more identifiable info. Is there a location the Coasties prefer?
