I fished there 3 of the last 4 weekends. Fist time trolled only for nothing but noticed shore anglers catching with bait. Second time trolled 4 four hours for nothing again, and then switched to bait, and starting getting hookups immediately, and stopped with three fish. Last weekend picked up one right off the bat trolling, and then no more after 3 hours. Switched to bait and again started catching fish. stopped with 4 to take home.

I prefer to troll because I get bored just sitting still. I tried a lot of different lures but they were all top water. Might try a small diver next time. When I was Power bait fishing the first time I used treble hooks, and the fish swallowed them to the point of no return. Last weekend I switched to #10 Owner Light Mutu circle hooks and they worked great. With circle hooks you just reel in slowly after getting a bite. Trying to set the hooks will just pull it through the fishes mouth.

I keep hearing recommendations to use 2lb test line but I use 10lb test line trolling, and with bait. Most of the larger fish I've caught  have 1 or more broken off hooks in them some with 2lb test leaders.

I was using Gulp Power Bait Rainbow Garlic off the swim area in about 14-18 feet of water. 2 boats near me were hooking up too.

I've fished there 4 times lately. 1rst trip was a skunk. 2nd trip was wide open, limited and left them biting and got a few double hits. 3rd trip got 3, only fished for 2 hours. 4th trip, landed 2 during a two hour trip. Trout caught were between 12 to 14 inches. All on the troll. Nothing big.
