I've never tried it, but technically dungie season is still open through end of June, right?
Is there any point in hauling the crabby traps out there if I'm going on a hali-hunt?

I'll b there this weekend doing Hali and Dungies camping from Friday to Sunday . Olive Revo red paddle jacket... hit me up if you need a buddy or direction.

Was there two weeks ago and did well. Lots of shorts and female to pick thru but a few jumbos around.

Well that looks encouraging, SimplyCook. Thanks much. Slacked tide, are you skipping clams? That was kind of my impetus, but my paddlemate just flaked, so we may be seeing each other anyway. I'm guessing you're not planning to be there for the very early low on Friday AM? And where do you clam out of Doran, anyway?
Sunday looks better... and less wind..Lol....

My friends will be clamming pretty much right by the channel on low tide both sides.. I’ll be camping , halibut and crabbing ... clamming is hard work lol I’m already exhausted loading all the gear and just want to kick my legs up and relax. Just hit me up . I don’t plan on going too far will be leaving my traps out over nite..for all days .

I might get up there Sunday. If I can convince the wife to take our kid out again for Fathers Day. We went last time and had a blast.

I'm planning to head out on Sunday with my son as soon as the gates open. We'll be in 2 orange Tarpon 140s. Might throw in the shovels and try to get some clams too. Hope to see you all there.

Unfortunately clams are still off limits in Sonoma County due to bio-toxins.

That link is outdated.
Clams are now open with a warning not to consume in Sonoma County. It's up to the forager to take the risk of consumption.
