For Sale / WTB: Legos - Its a dads life
« on: October 17, 2018, 12:10:58 PM »
Henry is newly obsessed with Lego's. It was only a matter of time really, now when I pick him up at school I find him huddled over a big tub of legos with some of the other kids hurriedly picking and creating before the parents arrive. It's funny really, some kids on the swing set, a few boys huffing playing with legos and the rest of kids around an ultimate fighter style octagon playing some sort of slap-ball?  I asked if the octagon was a schoolyard fightclub and one of the teachers nearly lost it while the others thought I was horrible. I know where I can make alliances at least :)

Anyway, does anyone have some unused legos they want to part with. I see them advertised by the pound and thought I'd check here before ebaying 15# of plastic parental torture devices (when I was a kid i thought caltrops were brutal, now I know better. Break out the hidden lego for ultimate revenge) :)

I'm flying to Panama this Sunday and the trip is heavily planned but if anyone has tips for short (2-3 hour) interesting things I shouldn't miss, I'm all ears.
I'll be primarily in Panama City.
Not taking fishing equipment :(

If you don't already know, I will be marrying the Beautiful and amazing Happy Hooker (Amy)  2:00pm December 3, 2016 at Anchor Bay.

We are having a great big party with a pot-luck and fishing in the days preceding the ceremony (and after, if you're sober enough).

We have rented the entire campground and have room for more campers if you are interested in camping for the party.  Camping is $30 for Friday AND Saturday (both, not each).  If you want in on the camping, let James (Rider) know and he will shoehorn you in :)

This is a NCKA Family and other Family mixed event, so, if you cant get along with FishMaster1, sorry, he will be there ;)

Attire is "nice" but not stuffy, Plan on cold and windy with chance of rain.  If it rains...we will be using easy-ups but will still be wet

Children are encouraged to come and have fun, we will have Henry and I know other little members will be there as well.

Amy and I are providing a Lechon and cake (some beer too, but shhhhhhhh)
Veggie heavy side dishes have been and are encouraged so we can all stay svelt even as we party.

« on: October 31, 2016, 03:12:18 PM »
November 26, 6pm

LOCATION:
Mizu buffet
Natomas

Traditionally the party starts about 7pm and goes until 10ish. (But since I'm non traditional, let's go for 6pm)
White elephant style, the usual cap is +/- $20, but bellybutton lint in a card works too. (so does a Van Stall VS200BXP if that's how you roll)  :smt044

Before anyone points it out, yes I am avoiding the weekend of December 3 for this, but hey no one else has started this, so pfffttt

General Talk / Sacramento Area Contractors or a contact for one
« on: August 03, 2016, 10:41:28 AM »
Amy and I are finally ready to build our big patio cover over the pool.  the drawings have been engineered stamped and are ready for permitting.  This is an interesting project wil all heavy beams and long spans and I'm not sure I'm willing to tackle it.  Perhaps I would with the right help, but otherwise I'm looking for a contractor.

Beams are double 2x10 with 22 foot span 10 feet up at an angle across the pool and supported by 6x6 timber sunk 3.5 feet in the ground...
all timber must go through house and most is 24' long :)

oh, yeah, cover is 24' x 4' corrugated sheet metal

We want this finished soonish so we can have some sweet Sac crew parties in the garden and around the Koi pool :)

Fishing Tournaments and Events / FreshKATS Clearlake 2015, October 24
« on: August 13, 2015, 03:02:08 PM »
This event is just 10 weeks away folks, we are working on some great raffle prizes and I am really looking forward to what TOADS can be pulled from the Clear Lady this year!

Camping will be first come first serve at the state park, but this time of year there's usually plenty opf space.

Launch will be from the state park beach there in the park, and some of the campsites have water access so you can paddle from your site to the muster area :)

More info coming as we get closer :)
