General Fishing Tips / Tips for Winter Trout Trolling« on: December 18, 2024, 05:47:03 AM »
As the winter settles in, the surface water temp cools and the active trout feed on to top water column. I have been trying to get Collin's Lake figured out as it's a hit or miss lake. I went trolling yesterday and made a short video on how to troll for winter trout. Surface water temp was 50-52 degrees and at that temp, trout will primarily be at the top 10' water column and you will not mark them. If you don't have any hits after an hour, change your presentation. I also typically to not use flashers or dodgers as I think it's too much for the trout and make scare them away. What are your opinions/tips? I also use different Procure scents!

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Top Loading Kayak on Car« on: December 03, 2024, 12:44:01 AM »
Hey everyone, I wanted to get some opinions on any recommendations on loading a kayak onto the top of the car. I have a oldtown sportsman 132 and I am using seawings by Malone. Currently I use a little carpet to put on top of my car and slide the kayak onto the wings from the rear of the car. However, I did drop the kayak once on the side when it slid off while loading. Do you guys have any recommendations to make the process easier? I'm typically fishing alone so a second person is out of question. I have been looking into an easy load assist device too and wanted to see if anyone had one and cared to share their opinion on it. Oh, I drive a Subaru Outback thats a little lifted

Introductions / Hello from Rancho Cordova« on: December 03, 2024, 12:25:59 AM »
Hi everyone! My name is Tim and I love to fish as I'm sure you all do. I love it more when I'm catching haha. I fish off an oldtown sportsman 132 that I rigged an electric motor to. Lastly, I make videos of my adventures fishing and give reports on the lakes I fish! You can find me on Youtube by searching for FisherTim24!! Thank You!
