During my search for a wetsuit I came across the Ignitor 3.0 on the NRS wetsuit. It looks to basically be a budget version of the farmer john. Has anyone here tried it? Should I get this one for my first wetsuit or just pony up for a farmer or ultra John. Thanks!

Comparing the Ignitor 3.0 to the Farmer John 3.0, it seems the big differences are the Ignitor lacks the "heat-reflective laminate adhesive" and the suit is flat stitched instead of glued and blind stitched.  The Farmer John also has the rashguard material along the edges and cuffs.  Speaking to the stitching alone, flat stitching won't last as long and will be subject to abrasion more than glued and blind stitching will.  That translates to longevity of the suit.  It's a $40 difference in price.  If $40 is the difference between you getting a suit and getting on the water or not, then go for it.  If you think you'll have this suit for a number of years and plan to take care of it well, spring for the $40 more expensive one.

I have the Farmer John 3.0 and it's a good suit.  I didn't want flat stitching, so I didn't consider the Ignitor once I saw that.
