I'm sure most have heard about this already, but I figured I'd create a thread just in case it gets a few more people vaccinated.  The VA has opened COVID Vaccine appointments to all Veterans eligible for VA Healthcare.  You must be enrolled in VA Healthcare to get an appointment.  You are eligible as long as you completed 24 months of service and didn't get a big chicken dinner.  If you're not currently enrolled, you can do so here: https://www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply/

If you're already enrolled, you can get appointments via your regional VA Healthcare system.  Here are some helpful links:

Northern California: https://www.northerncalifornia.va.gov/services/covid-19-vaccines.asp
San Francisco: https://www.sanfrancisco.va.gov/services/covid-19-vaccines.asp
Palo Alto: https://www.paloalto.va.gov/services/covid-19-vaccines.asp
Central California:  https://www.fresno.va.gov/services/covid-19-vaccines.asp

Note: their websites are mostly outdated and still show eligibility to 65+, but the VA Vaccine Act was passed on March 10.  When you call, they will make an appointment for you.  Anecdote: I called SF VA Monday the 15th and got an appointment for Tuesday the 16th and they also scheduled my 2nd dose.

And in case you're curious, SF has the Moderna vaccine and Palo Alto has the Pfizer vaccine.  I'm not certain about any of the others, but feel free to chime in if you've been vaccinated in another region and know which they are stocking.

I did mine last week through Mather VA and this program. Was very easy and quick. Got the Pfizer shot. Slight sore arm. No side effects otherwise.
