Just a reminder that anyone with reservation can still camp.  Unless they extend the camping close order that is.  Anyone gets word on that, please post.

Victor, I think you make the right call.  Looking forward to next year!

I'm gifting my spot, 118, to my brother and his wife.  He'll be there from Thursday to Wednesday, a full week.  Stop in and say hi.  His name is Gordon, his wife, Dani.

Sorry to hear of the cancellation but I can't say I'm surprised, considering the current Covid situation throughout the state.  I just put new tires on the Man Van in preparation for this event.  I think the best we can hope for now is that vaccinations will be well underway by the time Rock Fish season opens in 2021.  I see lots of chills in the coming months.

My reservation has been cancelled. Disappointed but not surprised.

Sonoma County Campground Closures - Jan. 6, 2021

Dear Campers,

We are extending the closure of campgrounds through Jan. 31, 2021 as Sonoma County remains under the regional stay-home order.  Due to the continued rise in COVID-19 infections, Sonoma County's order implements the state's regional restrictions, which prohibit overnight stays at campgrounds.

We are cancelling camping reservations for all dates through Jan. 31, 2021 and issuing refunds.

If you made a reservation after July 1, 2020, your refund will be issued directly to your credit card. This could take up to three weeks.

Got the same email, needless to say I am bummed.  We were still planning on going for 5 days.  Now I'm trying to find a campground anywhere but they are all asking a minimum of $71 a night.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I followed the instructions last night in the email and today got 2 replies.  First was acknowledgement I filled everything out right and was being handed off to accounting;

Quote
I just printed your form and will be getting it ready to pass off to the accountants later today.  The accountants do want us to tell people that it can take 6-8 weeks for everything to be processed and the checks to get to them.  They’ve had a lot of practice this last year, so hopefully that’s an over-estimation.  You’ll be getting a refund for the full $105.50 that you paid.

Thank you,

Christopher Herman

Second was an invoice from accounting stipulating a refund was authorized;
( AP Refund 01-07-21 ) Payment:   $105.50

I hope everyone has theirs go as smoothly.  Now just gotta wait for the check to arrive.

I submitted the email request this morning and received a refund confirmation about 90 minutes later.

It's a bummer... We had 10 nights reserved and planned to use them.

Did you notice that you were also refunded the reservation fee?

I think the fee was refunded. Hard to tell. I had extra fees due to date changes.

It was. I was just asking if you realized it.
