I saw this on CL and thought it might be a good addition to the fleet as a lightweight beater kayak for diving.
It looks pretty dinged up, but it's cheap. These Scuppers weigh about 52lbs I think. Am I better off getting a Prowler 13 (56lbs) or maybe just waiting for a newer Scupper Pro?
Thanks,
Andrew

That's a sleek looking boat, never even seen one like that, I wonder how old it is?

I've seen old plastic get brittle and I've seen old plastic last forever,,,,,,,,,,, Yeh I know, no help at all. :smt009

Just my .02, $375 seems like a stretch for this.  The hull looks pretty scraped up.  It seems like lately there have been some tridents and prowlers going for 500 ish that looked almost new... may be better to try and raise a little more for one of those.   :smt006

True, it’s old and used. A trident or prowler are great boats.

The SP is a piece of history, and way faster than either of those.

I think the prowler and the Scupper Pro have nearly the same hull. The first kayak I paddled was a prowler. They are good boats.

That looks like it could be an old glass boat. Might be worth looking into if that's the case as it won't be as prone to UV damage from aging/sun, and wouldn't be hard to fix if it needs it.

I do know for a fact that boat's been up all winter and is way overpriced or it'd have sold already.

I'd agree with HamachiJohn that around $125, maybe up to $200 would be fair.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Not sure what it is, but it's not a Scupper Pro, nor a Sprinter. It has a SP type lower hull.

125 would be a good deal.  New trident 13 might be best new deal on the market right now.  Still a fast boat, and way more stable.

That is an old glass scupper, the wear on the bottom looks like the gel coats been worn away by sand.  I think I paid about 150 for mine give or take but I’ve seen these go for as high as 7-8.  The boat in the ad doesn’t look like it’s in that bad a shape.  As stated it’s more of a historic boat, classic glass; probably not the most practical but definitely cool.
