Caught/landed my first fish on the kayak, my mango-colored-fishkilling vessel: A Cabezon 15-16", and a 9-10" Rock Cod, copper-colored. Tossed back a smaller cod. Launched at the boat ramp in Monterey. Met up with a NCKA member, Ernie (Superfin). Had a full, great day on the water down there. Baked the Cabezon on the Weber grill outside - delicious. Froze the Rock Cod. Looking forward to much more.

I am a kayak angler newbie. I launched at Lovers Point last Monday. It was easy, uncrowded, and no stairs to deal with -- just use the ramps. I'll be back there in a couple of months, perhaps we can connect. Best wishes.
