Ocean Kayaks / Re: Trident 13 Vs. Big Game
« on: May 01, 2014, 03:31:28 PM »
Just my thoughts and no technical justification about weight capacity, etc. I loved my T13. I would still have it, but as an old geezer and only 5' 9", it was getting too difficult for me to load and unload it onto the high profile vehicle I had at the time, so I sold the T13 and got a 12' Eddyline Caribbean, which I also love and can handle on land better. I would have another T13 with pleasure as long as I could trailer it.

You are in my thoughts. I live in Vallejo, also. If I can help in anyway, PM me, I'll be there for you in moments.

That highly pissed-off Hali reconfigured your clip for you. Nicely done.

Andy, really, Man. How could you let yourself be photographed in that oddly configured vessel? Who goes out to sea in such things?

T13 is a great ride, and that was a very good deal. Personally, I would have made Joey an offer on the trailer, but that's just me. Enjoy.

I have fished with Bushy and Eric. i cannot think of better guides. My in-laws and their friends hired Bushy in Monterey and had a great time. I would confidently send family and friends to Eric as well. Continued success, Bushy and best of luck on your new venture, Eric.

Have to miss SC. Grandparenting duties prevail.

Taking grandchildren camping May 16-18 somewhere along the coast. Will pay going rate for two nights. If you have one to rent or know of someone who would rent theirs, please PM me. 19 - 21 feet would be fine, but I have a pickup that will pull much larger. Thanks.

Word, Shipmate. Well done.

Kayaks / Re: What do you NOT like about your kayak choice?
« on: January 21, 2014, 11:16:27 PM »
Love my Eddyline 12. Yes, i did have a troublesome hairline crack in one of the front scuppers that plagued me for a few weeks, because I couldn't see it. Once I found it and filled it, problem solved. Hull stays bone dry now on every outing. I had dropped it off the top of my high-profile SUV a couple of times and I was cinching it down rather hard. I've re-rigged roof rack and Malone Sea Wings, so things are more stable up there now loading and unloading. This is a terrific kayak for me. I also loved my OK T13, but the weight and handle placements were a problem for me. Moving the handles back a bit might help that some.

Eddyline / Re: Why did you choose Eddyline
« on: January 17, 2014, 06:02:42 PM »
I've got the Caribbean 12 and love it. Lighter weight to haul atop my SUV was the main motivation. Agree with comments about paddling ease and sexiness, too. BTW: got mine from Dan at Headwaters. Highly recommend him.
