General Talk / Re: Recommendations for home insurance...
« on: June 13, 2023, 05:16:59 AM »
The companies stopping issuing New policies is really about their ability to raise prices that is controlled by the commission, it is a pressure tactic that has happened before. Almost certainly CA will fold in a few weeks and allow exceptions to the caps, and those companies will start issuing new policies again.
The market is just too big to ignore, and the actuaries need to be appeased enough to maintain profits and risk profile..

Slow down the retrieve...I don't have it down like wizard yet, but can hold my own now. Come out in the boat

I don't get the Desire to fish that deep.there's not going to be any fight, maybe for the first minute, then it is just a long slog.
I suppose if you want to fill the freezer?

His insurance does not have a contract with U of W but does with Stanford.

Wait...he's got insurance, but it won't pay for the transplant?  Wtf?

The 8.5 would be perfect for bean hollow.
Rig it with a couple of 8/0000 treble hooks on 1000# wire, then a penn international, for the rod I'm not sure, probably some xxxxh shorty

The surface strike will be amazing

Take less stuff?

Takes me 20 minutes to wash down boat, trailer, gear, and flush engine, so maybe you are going overboard?

Reels and rods really just need a quick hose down. Lures and such toss in a bucket and fill. I always did my clothing and drysuit at home,, but again, boots in bucket, suit gets hosed off

From a bucket list trip.
Daughter jumping into -6c (28.4F) water
Penguins in the katabatic winds
Where you really really need a dry suit

that area has a nice deep hole just on the outside of all those pilings, you can see it on a good chart...can be decent in summer.  We troll just up toward the brothers a lot for stripers, or plug the pilings- again in summer.
