General Talk / Interest in Kayak Rentals?
« on: April 19, 2022, 11:02:40 AM »
I was curious if there is any interest in Hobie kayak rentals for people in the Bay Area? (more for people to use repeatedly than trying out new models which I know many kayak dealers offer)

I know storage space is an issue for many in the Bay Area and might be a barrier to enter the sport of kayak fishing. It might also be good for if friends/family come from out of town and want to join you on a fishing adventure.

What are peoples thoughts on this? Would there be interest in something like this?

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Santa Cruz 5/1

1st legal lingcod in Santa Cruz. Was 30 inches and got it on a 5 inch swimbait and jig head. Super excited since it was also my 1st fish on a swimbait.

Hey Everyone - went out on 4/2 and 4/3 for rockfish and crab for the 1st time with my girlfriend on our new Compass Duo. In total we got 6x rockfish and 8x Dungeness crab. Rockfish were all caught on shrimp flies with strips of squid. Dungeness crab were all in around 45 feet of water.

Happy to hear recommendations on how we can get on more rockfish or Lingcod!
