nice fish guys. Good report! I got one across the bay at oyster point and a bunch of shakers as well. They only wanted bait today and I lost a couple heavy bites yesterday as well.

General Talk / Re: I bought a new kayak and it's on a trailer now« on: June 02, 2017, 09:46:26 PM »
it's nice not having to lift it on my truck and also I have back issues, thank you for all the valid points. It sucks having to drive 55 and pay for parking also. I guess I could try to get rid of the trailer and buy a bed extender only time will tell.

I picked up a pro angler 12 and it came with a trailer. It's a lot heavier than my revo which I usually loaded on to my truck rack. I went to oyster point and paid the launch fee but i'm still doing my pros and cons with it. It's nice to throw on the trailer in the morning and i'm gone, but not sure if it's worth the launch fee every trip.

I recently I picked a Pro Angler 12 and it came with a trailer. I was wondering if I don't use the ramp to launch my kayak do I still need to pay to hand launch my kayak. I'm scared since I have to park my truck in the trailered areas. Anybody have any insight on what I should do?

General Fishing Tips / Getting live bait around Alameda« on: May 01, 2017, 06:32:32 PM »
Would be easier to pick up livebait on the way to Alameda or would be easier just to catch whatever bait around the ARW? Is there anything to catch for halibut bait other than jack smelt? Anybody have any tips on how to keep bait alive once I've caught some?

General Fishing Tips / Re: Kayak downriggers and trolling for trout« on: April 28, 2017, 08:34:48 AM »
i've only had one instance where a fish swam under the boat and tangled both of my downrigger lines. It was a total pain in the ass, and because of that I only fish one downrigger now. So if I hook a big fish i could pull my downrigger line up

General Fishing Tips / Re: halibut fishing during negative tide« on: April 27, 2017, 09:46:21 PM »
I should have went and tried oyster point today, but I went to go do something familiar and fish for trout at del valle for a big fat skunk. Maybe ill take a crack at oyster next weekend regardless of what the tides look like!
