Through the 70-80s I worked as a diver and kept a lot of gear as backup in case I needed $ for some reason

Probably a few other things around but I’m unpacking things as I go to clear garage space Also have a commercial diver drysuit if anybody wants it, will post pics when I get to it

I went into the salmon pics only to find the old photos have vanished from the posts

As with the video issues I tried different browsers but no luck

Need to clear space in the garage to turn it into more multipurpose workshop and am thinning my tools and getting rid of this rolling tool chest and some other things

It’s a few years old but is just sitting there full of tools so will clean up to basic new shape

The quality of these is midway between all the low end crap and the the $5k boxes

No dents or damage

The only upgrade they’ve made on the newer ones is USB ports

When I look at NCKA posts (iPad and iPhone) with videos there’s a big blank spot where the video should be

If I hit the reply or quote buttons I can either see the video or at least the YouTube address to copy and paste

Same thing when I post videos from Vimeo links, nothing but a big blank spot where video should be

Anybody know what that’s about?

A few months back I shrank 15 lbs or so in the space of two or three weeks and had to downsize wetsuits from 2XL to XL

Two of them are Psychotech 4/3 back zip which is top line O’Neill, were $490 new. One was a warranty replacement so worn only a few times. We maintain our stuff meticulously so both are in excellent shape

Also have size 2XL Xcel CompX 4/3 front zip that is new, was $400 when I bought it

I see the wood stock spearguns and have an urge to shoot again and maybe design my own Would even consider investing in the necessary equipment like lathes

Any advice I’d be interested but in particular any opinions about the wood guns is what I’m after

Also curious what woods they’re using

Looks like Brett and his Stealth factory are pretty close to the epicenter of the current  South Africa chaos, I sent him an email asking what their situation is

Not sure what anybody here could do to help but there’s a little bit of a Stealth fan club here might be interested

I posted this as a kayaks thread but maybe is more general interest or even pay it forward

We have four of them for sale, two in good shape and two new ones

1) men’s medium O’Neill Psychotech with the tags still on it. It was a warranty suit that re covid delays O’Neill took so long to get to us that my son grew 6 inches taller meanwhile and we had to upsize. It is a $500 suit

We also have 3 Excel suits

One is a new size 2XL Excel Comp X front-zip ($400) that I wore once and figured out my 2 O’Neill Psychotech back-zips are just as warm so I just need to offload something to make space in the cave

The other two Excel back-zip suits are in good shape, I think my sons is a medium and mine either XL or 2XL I will check

Mine would be in great shape except a kook who thought he was a hotshot came down on me from maybe 8 feet up and buried his fins in my hip so there’s about a 3” tear that should be easy to fix

Everything is 4/3 and well taken care of

BTW these are surf suits but after spending the last couple of years spending anywhere from 4-12 hours a day in the water, I have different ideas about immersion and how to prep for it. A long time ago I did that routinely but my wetsuits then were custom fitted and very warm

Ive basically concluded that full suits are better option than farmer johns, unless you are very good at getting yourself out of the water in pronto fashion
