General Fishing Tips / Re: Mooching questions
« on: Today at 11:29:17 PM »
Level winds seem convenient for less distraction when dealing w/ them guile maneuvers. My two reels are either abu revo toro(lefty) or shimano tekota paired w/ shimano tallus rod.. just my beat up gear for kayak fishing from back in the day.

I find the thumb bar on revo more efficient for changing depth. Other rod is a cousins SSW 799XFT. Cousins rod for rockfish/ling.

If you carry around a net that flies high, you might be able to die the netting with a high vis color and then you could forgo a flag some people mount...paint the net rim. Might attract E.T. hunters

Blacks are fun. Have had blacks slam small metal jigs jumping and flying out of the water. Also some cool moments in the water where larger solitary fish appear like ghosts to be silhouetted by the surrounding environs.. arching their backs and turning while investigating one's presence.

Thnx for the great fishing time report and pics!

You can do the same with re-bar also. Tightly wrap wire, SS, if you have it, around the top groove so it forms a loop for attachment. Same for bottom if you want a hook. Use any reflective covering for ling jigs. Inside coating of a potato chip bag rolled twice around and secured with mono or edge glued works fine.
:smt116 that's awesome
