Gearing Up and Rigging Up / looking for product suggestions
« on: June 08, 2012, 10:23:43 AM »
Howdy all ya kayak fishin scallywags out there. Joey here, I'm trying to get together a bit of R&D for our next round of kayak fishing product ordering here at Monterey Bay Kayaks. I was hoping that I could get a couple "I can't live without it" item suggestions from the brotherhood. You guys know what you want, need, and can't function without, so I'd like to pick your brains so I can have the best stocked kayak fishing retail floor in the area. Thank you for your time

For Sale / 2007 ocean kayak prowler13 rigged 500$
« on: June 06, 2012, 04:23:02 PM »
I am parting ways with my little redhead. A prowler 13 rigged with a humminbird 161, flushmount rod holders, ram rod holder, tackle basket, paddle, and sea to summit seat. This boat is a great intro boat, I've paddled just about every SOT on the market and I keep coming back to the ole prowler. It's just the best boat I've found for my weight range (150-250), I've rigged it myself, so it has everything I've found I need and nothing I don't. Here's some pics, shoot me an IM if you're interested.

Cobra Kayaks / Shindinger cobra stinger
« on: June 01, 2012, 07:12:23 PM »
Does any one else shred their shins on that wacky death edge near the stern carrying or surf launching the sit on tops. Between carrying the triple at work and launching my dads FnD I got a case of the skinless shins. I got a chance to speak with the rep about it but I guess the R&D guys just think it looks sweet ( it totally does too ). Maybe my clumsy lanky frame has some bearing on my problem, does anyone else out there shave their shins on cobras?

my entire tackle box has recently parted ways with me in favor of the bottom of the pacific and I was wandering if any one out there knows of any good cheap tackle stores in the Monterey area or any websites where I would be able to acquire some nice cheap replacements?

Me and a few friends did reall well out of carmel sunday, got to fish with some NCKA veterans and all four of us got atleast one ling up to the boat including a 31' pig that almost put me in the water, but it was raining so hard it wouldnt have mattered either way. All in all it was an epic trip and it's good to be back out rock fishing again. I thought I was going to lose my mind for a while there at the end of april.
