Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Wheelez webbing
« on: May 17, 2020, 10:37:32 PM »
My kayak cart webbing somehow snapped in half this weekend. Has anyone experience this failure? I've search Amazon, Ebay, and wheelez.com but couldn't fine any webbing replacement for sale. I will be calling wheelez to see if they carry any. Just curious if anyone had any simple hack/replacement.

Thank you!

Safety First / New pool noodles for hatch or bulk head
« on: April 24, 2020, 02:47:29 PM »
I found this at Dollar Tree for $1 ea and it would be a great replacement of the original long ones.
These are stiff like the ones inside kayaks for support if you stand them vertically. These will make it hard to sink a kayak
in an emergency. They have limited supply so you may have to check other location.

https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2019/08/25/coast-guard-searching-for-missing-man-in-water-near-discovery-bay/

DISCOVERY BAY (CBS SF) — The Coast Guard is searching for a man who was last seen in the water near Discovery Bay early Sunday morning.

The San Francisco sector of the U.S. Coast Guard received a report of a person in the water about 4:15 a.m. The man reportedly fell in the water at popular fishing spot Indian Slough when the small inflatable craft he and another man were fishing in popped.

One man swam back to shore, but the other was missing.
