My wife and I had the J & J shot exactly one week ago.  Minor light headedness for a few hours. No other symptoms after that.

I've used CA Canoe Kayak for welding jobs and was very happy with the results.  You can also consider adding a BerlyPro Keel Guard.

I suggest you register your TI as soon as possible.  Its required by law. I used to own a AI and waited several months to register it. When I went in person to DMV to register it, the clerk asked for a bill of sale. She noted that the bill of sale was several months old and added a late fee. I cant remember how much it was.
I have a buddy on this site who waited several years to register his AI and was fined $500 on top of the registeration fee.

Hi Mel,

Last question before I put mine on  :smt003
Did you sand that area down before applying the plumber goop?

I really enjoy wearing my Goretex angler drysuit. I am sure you will too.

You can wear a kayak specific pants or bibs or even a drysuit with socks. I wear a Kokatat Hydrus bib for freshwater for cold days and a Kokatat Angler Drysuit for the ocean. Your whole body stays warm and dry with the right under garments. I like the NRS Wetshoe for cold water and Columbia water shoes if the water isnt too cold.

Here is a first hand account of a close friend. She has recovered and fine now.

Got the first COVID shot Friday. I  waited for 15 min. I left and got on the freeway 30 min after the shot...I was trying to drink water and it wasn't going down. My tongue was numb like 5 bee stings. I got a sore throat that started swelling like an elephant's trunk was around my neck. I could only say, "I am unwell." Then wasn’t able to talk. My heartbeat was pounding out of my chest.

Since I got a ride I was lucky to not be alone. He used Siri for directions and we went toward the closest hospital. But, after about 2-3 min of that... I was able to talk fine and breath okay. So, I thought the reaction was subsiding and decided to head home.

Got home, went straight to the restroom like I had food poisoning.
I Felt chills- put on a puff jacket. Felt hot; took it off and stood outside. 15 min later... checked my temp and it is 101 with a runny nose, and headache.
My friends texted and suggested to call the dr. Dr. advised to come into clinic. Arrived and Dr. said tongue and throat swelling, she administered epipen and called 911 and had my family come in for 1 min. Ambulance came and did an IV. I went to emergency room, got checked in- Dr. said having anaphylactic shock. Administered 3 medicine shots then heartbeat escalated and Dr. said possibly heading to heart attack call 1 person while 5 nurses attached defibrillator and treated situation. My pastor answered, and began reciting verses of the shadows of death. Dr. administered another medication, body responded positively and heart rate decreased. I am thankful to all those that helped me. All the first responders: National Guard that administered the vaccine, Dr. and 3 nurses at clinic, 2 EMT in ambulance, 1 dr. And 5 nurses at hospital, my pastor, friends, and family sending positivity vibes. Glad to be here.

Thank you Mel. I just ordered two for my Revo rear.

BTW I used blue painters tape to keep them in place while drying. Very easy install.
