Definitely wasn't a 10 point landing but managed to pop out in about a foot and a half of water and keep the Yak upright ... I did catch my had on the jig on my rod. Pulled my hat off then a wave knocked my glasses off, even with a band on them. They were the one casualty of the landing.
And yes now I stash my rods in heavy surf landings!!

Just wanted to say hi.
I have recently gotten back into Kayak fishing and been loving it. Mostly stick to Washington waters but have friends and family in the Bay area and Humbolt Co. ... Will definitely bring my yak on the next road trip!

Here is my entry from the Washington. This was out at Hobuck Bay, just off the very north west tip of the state.
I was just happy to stay on top of my P-13
